Policy
The Secretary is elected by the ConnAPA membership, for a two-year term. S/he must be a fellow member in good standing with the AAPA and ConnAPA.
Responsibilities
- Record minutes for all ConnAPA Board of Directors meetings.
- Distribute copies of minutes to all Board members within 30 days following the meeting.
- Submit a copy of the minutes to the ConnAPA web page manager for publication.on the ConnAPA website.
- Keep a record of all submitted material for BOD meeting review.
- Assure ConnAPA is reincorporated with the State of CT and maintain those records.
- Submit an annual report to the BOD of the accomplishment(s) of the BOD.
- Attest or witness the signature of BOD officers.
- Assure the notification of all BOD meetings via the ConnAPA web page.
- Cast the ballot for general membership in an uncontested election.
- Attend all officially designated Board of Directors meetings.
- Execute all assigned responsibilities from the President and/or BOD.
Competencies
- Computer skills, especially knowledge of word processing software.
- Familiarity with the internet.
- Self motivated, well organized and able to meet deadlines.
Time Commitment
- Attend Board meetings and other meetings as necessary.
- Substantial travel throughout Connecticut.
- Preparation, editing and distribution of Board minutes.
- Communication with web manager and other parties as directed by the President and the Board.
