Secretary

Policy

The Secretary is elected by the ConnAPA membership, for a two-year term. S/he must be a fellow member in good standing with the AAPA and ConnAPA.

Responsibilities

  1. Record minutes for all ConnAPA Board of Directors meetings.
  2. Distribute copies of minutes to all Board members within 30 days following the meeting.
  3. Keep a record of all submitted material for BOD meeting review.
  4. Assure ConnAPA is reincorporated with the State of CT and maintain those records.
  5. Submit an annual report to the BOD of the accomplishment(s) of the BOD.
  6. Attest or witness the signature of BOD officers.
  7. Assure the notification of all BOD meetings via the ConnAPA web page.
  8. Cast the ballot for general membership in an uncontested election.
  9. Attend all officially designated Board of Directors meetings.
  10. Execute all assigned responsibilities from the President and/or BOD.

Competencies

  1. Computer skills, especially knowledge of word processing software.
  2. Familiarity with the internet.
  3. Self motivated, well organized and able to meet deadlines.

Time Commitment

  1. Attend Board meetings and other meetings as necessary.
  2. Substantial travel throughout Connecticut.
  3. Preparation, editing and distribution of Board minutes.
  4. Communication with web manager and other parties as directed by the President and the Board.
